AMERICA TIME MOVING & STORAGE

In late September 2011 we unveiled the Wheel of Life in Los Angeles for it's inaugural ride. The eight-minute film projection comprised of still and moving imagery encapsulates the transitional period in America from the first Gulf War through 9/11.

Since the 1990's we have been bearing witness to everyday life moving around us in America. We felt a major shift occurring during the last ten years of the 20th century and the first ten years of the 21st. A sense of disenfranchisement was growing. We were horrified by what we experienced after the Gulf War "Spectacular Battle" when the toys of war were paraded up Broadway in lower Manhattan (the opening images of the Wheel). Ironically this very spot became Ground Zero (the final images). The Wheel of Life is our invitation to meditate on the sensation of time moving and the swirl of life turning around us, imploring us to engage in it.
